New Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress Work Announced, Aiming for Completion by 2018

A new anime project for Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress has been announced. This announcement was made at Noitamina Project Presentation 2017 on Dec. 15, and it was also revealed that they’re aiming for completion by 2018.

The TV anime Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress aired from Apr. 2016 through June. Broadcast during the Noitamina block, it drew the attention of many for how faithfully captured the art and action scenes were. Compilation films are in production with part 1, Tsudou Hikari, airing on Dec. 31, and part 2, Moeru Inochi, airing on Jan. 7. Each of these will only be open for 2 weeks.

A special clip was also aired at the Noitamina Presentation. Director Araki Tetsurou and the main cast appeared on the platform, with each member also making comments, stirring up the fans' excitement even more.

Attendees who come to see the compilation films during the 1st week of each will also receive an original drama CD titled Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: Shigure no Yume. This drama CD is linked to the video game adaptation announced at Tokyo Game Show 2016, and it has several key points that connect the main story to the game.
