The Eccentric Family became a hit after it was first released, and ever since its sequel was announced, fans have been clamoring for more news and details! To celebrate this upcoming series, there will be an unprecedented event at Shimogamo Shrine.
The Shimogamo Shrine (Kamomioya Shrine) is a world heritage site in Kyoto, and this will be the first anime-related event to be held at the beautiful location. Raffle tickets to go went on sale on Nov. 28 and general sale tickets will open on Dec. 25.
Fans who are lucky enough to go can look forward to a number of events to wish the series well including a ceremony to celebrate and hope for its success, a Kagami-opening ceremony at the dance shrine, announcements about the cast members performing new characters, details about the opening and ending themes, the release of the main visual, collaboration news, and other exciting information.
There will be many guests at the event including Takahiro Sakurai (voice of Yasaburo Shimogamo), Mamiko Noto (Benten), Tomihiko Morimi (original author), Masayuki Yoshihara (director), Kenji Horikawa (producer), and the voice actor behind Junior.
Part of the proceeds from ticket sales will also be donated to the shrine as an offering, and participants will be able to watch the event from a special area located in front of the dance shrine. They’ll also receive a special merchandise package, including merchandise from sponsored companies including a cute fluffy tanuki poncho!
