One hundred Nobitas are set to flood Shibuya’s Jingumae crossing in front of Tokyu Plaza on Oct. 29 thanks to a fun dating event, “Kanzen Muryou! Halloween DE no Nobita 100 Nin” (“Totally Free! 100 Nobitas at Halloween DE”), organised by Iromono.
The event aims to provide a free opportunity for men and women to to get together and have fun.
Iromono’s main service is running fun and interesting dating events through its Omocom website. Many of the site’s users complain that they’d like to attend events like these but they don’t have anyone to go with or worry that they don’t have the conversation skills. In answer to these concerns, visitors will be able to participate in this event for free, and everyone who comes will receive a special present so people can just concentrate on having fun whilst dressing up as the well-known Doraemon character, Nobita. There will be ample opportunity for people to meet as they enjoy “looking for Doraemon” throughout the surrounding area.

This year’s aim - 100 Nobitas!
A total of 50 male Nobitas and 50 female Nobikos are set to take part.
On the day of the event, there will be a commemorative photo session for all the Nobitas together and each of the participants will be given a copy of the photo. One hundred people are set to mobilise at Jingumae crossing (in front of Tokyu Plaza) in Shibuya. Find Doraemon, leave no Shibuya stone unturned!
Get together with Doraemon!
The dating event doesn’t just stop at mingling with the Nobitas. Doraemon is hiding in Shibuya (he really is)! Make new friends with people in the city this Halloween even if they’re not participating in the event. There might even be some dorayaki in it for you.
How to become a Nobita (normal version)
This is the very basic Nobita look so it’s great for cosplay novices of all genders. The main thing is Nobita’s classic yellow top and blue sneakers. Just say to yourself “I am Nobita!” 10 times before you leave the house and you’re all set.
How to become a Nobita (dandy version)
If you want to make your look an Instagram hit, this is what you need to do. This is really more for the guys but still involves a yellow top and blue sneakers. You’ll definitely be getting some jealous looks from the beginner Nobitas in an outfit like this. Your task is to say “I am Nobita - YEAH!” 10 times before you leave the house.
How to become a Nobita (sexy lady version)
If you want to get yourself some attention, this is the way to do it. This is mainly for the ladies, but you’ll need a yellow tube top and blue pumps. Forget your fellow Nobitas, you’ll get so many looks from people passing by when dressed like this. Tell yourself “I…Am…Nobi-TA!” 10 times before you leave the house.

1. Follow the official Twitter account. Photos from the event will be posted on the Omocom Twitter feed (@omocom_iromono).
2. If you meet Doraemon, tweet and tag it with ♯ハロウィンのび太100人! All the photos collected will be available for the participants.
