Shopping Guide
The simple and sweet manga Chi’s Sweet Home follows Chi and the kind Yamada family and is sold in 23 countries including Japan, France, and China. Its newest series is done in 3DCG and will begin airing this fall.
Its broadcast will begin on Oct. 2 on TV Tokyo and will air on Monday mornings at 7 a.m., and its title is Koneko no Chi (or Kitten Chi). Chi will have the same voice actor as before (Satomi Korogi), but Etsuko Kozakura will be playing Yohei.
Leading up to that, a special movie is streaming on the official site featuring Chi and the Yamada family in 3DCG. It’ll give fans a chance to see the first story as well as hear the new cast.

■ About Chi’s Sweet Home
Written and illustrated by Kanata Konami, Chi’s Sweet Home is a heartfelt manga about the happy, everyday moments of a playful kitten by the name of Chi and the sweet Yamada family. It was serialized from 2004 until 2015 in Kodansha’s manga magazine Morning and has 12 volumes. Chi is popular even overseas for her expressive face and unique speech, resulting in the series being released in 23 countries and regions with over 3.3 million volumes volumes printed (as of Aug. 2016). The series appeared in a 2014 commercial for the MacBook Air and is adored all over the world.
Story
A heartfelt manga about the happy, everyday moments of a playful kitten by the name of Chi and the sweet Yamada family. Chi gets lost on her first walk, but is found by the Yamada family. She may be little, but she has a big personality! The energetic Chi lives happily with the polite and happy but ever-so-slightly timid Yohei, sweet Mom, and generally level-headed Dad who can’t help but spoil Chi. Chi also becomes friends with the boss cat Kuroino and field kitten Kocchi. It’s always fun in this family, and occasionally exciting. This story shares with you a story of a sweet home.
