Based on its appearance at the end of the first season of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, the “1/100 Scale High-Resolution Model Gundam Barbatos Form 6” (18,360 yen; tax included, shipping and handling separate) is up for pre-order on Premium Bandai as a part of its High-Resolution Model series! This series is popular for design arrangements and different combinations of materials.
■ About the Figure
Gundam Barbatos is the main Gundam seen in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. It’s been recreated in Form 6 for this 1/100 scale High-Resolution Model, complete with its characteristic intimidating and broad armor.
You can recreate the Gundam Barbatos quite easily with this set. It includes a partly metal and fully mobile Gundam Frame on the inside, to which you apply the exterior armor parts.
The set also includes additional parts so you can put together not only Form 6, but Form 5 with land war specs! By adding its armor, you’ll be able to recreate Gundam Barbatos as it appeared at the end of season 1, and it even comes with its famous Wrench Mace, complete with the chainsaw!
The shoulder cylinders of the Gundam Frame were also revised, allowing them to move more smoothly than before. Its toes are also moveable for creating tiptoe-style poses, as well, and the wrist joints also have a wider range of motion than previous models, making this an especially dynamic Gundam.
The armor pieces are done in white, red, and blue and have an added gloss injection for unique and accurate colors, successfully capturing the original design. In keeping with the High-Resolution Model series, even the smallest parts are carefully treated, and the gold-colored parts have matte plating. The clear parts of the legs are also colored silver on the opposite sides for a luminescent appearance.
