[Staff Comments]
Yoshitoki Ooima, Original Author:
“I think there are many things that can’t be expressed outside of anime. How will this turn out? I’m looking forward to seeing it.
I told a lot of stories in the manga about my own family and friends and people close to me, and about people I’m not close to at all, but for the anime, I think this will be a work that everyone will recognize as my story.
I hope that it will be A Silent Voice that’s familiar to even more people, and I think that the director, Yamada, will be able to make something that will surprise people beyond what you can imagine. I’m excited for it.”

Naoko Yamada, Director:
“It’s nice to meet you. I’m the director, Yamada. The way of expressing what you want to understand about other people, and what you try to understand, comes in many different shapes for each and every person.
I want to keep on searching for hope with Shoya and the others through this work.
