[Tokyo International Film Festival] Win Tickets to MX4D(TM) Screening of “Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn: Episode 7: Over the Rainbow”!

A special screening program titled “The World of Gundam” has been announced for the 28th Tokyo International Film Festival to be held from Oct. 22–31, and fans have the chance to win tickets to the first-ever MediaMation MX4D(TM) 1 screening of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn: Episode 7: Over the Rainbow.

The special screening program “The World of Gundam” continues from last year’s “The World of Hideaki Anno.” Since the first series Mobile Suit Gundam, the Gundam franchise has been inherited by a variety of creators and has received a huge response from viewers of all ages. What is Gundam? Why does it stir people’s hearts? Through back-to-back screenings spanning the franchise’s long 36-year history the screening program will shine a light on the secrets behind this massive hit from Japan.

Regarding the MX4D(TM) screenings, TIFF head of the secretariat Mr. Miyakojima commented, “We wanted to offer an experience you can only get at TIFF.” “We want everyone of all ages to enjoy this special experience you can only savor in the theater. Implementing this program is so appropriate for the fact that the Gundam franchise has fans of all ages,” he explained, sharing his feelings for the program.

A historic first for a film festival and for the Gundam franchise, tickets to the Oct. 29 MX4D(TM) screening of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn: Episode 7: Over the Rainbow are already sold out. An additional screening has been planned for Oct. 30 and tickets will go on sale Oct. 20. Two fans can also win tickets for themselves and a friend to attend this screening. Regarding this, we received the following comment from TIFF!

“ Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn: Episode 7: Over the Rainbow will be screened at the MX4D(TM) theater!! It will be the first-ever experience of its kind in Gundam history. We are pleased to announce a lottery in which two pairs of winners will be invited to this special screening.”
