“Hai-Furi” Mysterious New Anime Project in Development; Character Designs by Atto

In the early morning of Aug. 25, an interesting new anime project was announced. The title of the anime is Hai-Furi, and Atto is in charge of character designs. The announcement stated that production on the project is currently underway, but gives very little in terms of information on the anime. All that has been revealed is the title, Atto as character designer, and a visual drawn by Atto.

However, new information will be published in the October issue of the manga magazine Alive (Kadokawa Media Factory) on sale Aug. 27. It will feature a special article on the anime that will certainly be worth checking.

The visual drawn by Atto features a girl in a sailor outfit pointing skyward. In the Hai-Furi logo water and a dolphin can be seen. We wonder if the anime is themed after the ocean.

Atto’s participation on the anime will likely be one of its major highlights. Atto is known for the popular manga Non Non Biyori currently serializing in Monthly Comic Alive. The manga was adapted to a TV anime in 2013, and the second season Non Non Biyori Repeat, which began broadcasting this July, just reached its conclusion late night on Aug. 24 (early morning on Aug. 25). As Hai-Furi is the successor to the hit Non Non Biyori it will no doubt attract great anticipation.

But what about the staff, cast, and story? With plenty of mystery surrounding it, Hai-Furi will attract even more attention as things heat up.
