Production details of the second anime television series of Garo, which has expanded over a wide variety of media, have emerged. The title of the second series will be Garo: Guren no Tsuki (Garo: Moon of the Crimson Lotus). Teaser visuals and a trailer have been released on the official website.
Furthermore, the November release of the live action Garo film Biku: Yamigirinochi is approaching. 2015 has Garo-related media piling up as this year welcomes the tokusatsu drama, films, plays, spin-offs, as well as the 10-year Garo anniversary. The first 24-episode anime series of Garo, Garo: Hono no Kokuin, aired from October 2014 and drew much attention. The new series is looking like it will create the same level of excitement once more!
The recently-released visuals of Garo: Guren no Tsuki appear to show a historical setting in the background. As the image is only a silhouette, further details are shrouded in mystery.
As for the main staff, the director of the live action series, Keita Amemiya, will be returning as director. Character design will be handled by Masako Katsura, creator of the Zetman manga series, and original character design for Tiger & Bunny.
Animation production will fall to MAPPA, who worked on the a title with famously high-quality animation, Rage of Bahamut, as well as Ushio and Tora, which aired from June 2015. Following on from the previous work, Tohokushinsha is furthering the project.

In addition, at Comic Market 88, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from Aug. 14–16, original novelty goods will be distributed at the industry booth. Attendees can share photos taken at the Tohokushinsha booth on Twitter, where they can be seen by the staff.
