“Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou” Spin-Off Parody of “Attack on Titan” to Broadcast in October

The parody manga Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou, a spin-off of the manga Attack on Titan, is getting a TV anime. The broadcast will begin this October on MBS and other networks in Japan. The manga began in 2012 as on official parody of the massive hit manga Attack on Titan. It is currently serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine (Kodansha). The unusual work depicts the cruel, harsh world of the series as a fun school-life manga.

Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou is written by Saki Nakagawa. Sixteen volumes have been published to date, with the series having over 1.8 million copies in print. It is set in a parallel world to Attack on Titan in which main characters Eren and Mikasa attend Shingeki Academy. The story focuses on comical gags.

The TV anime for Attack on Titan is also returning next year with its second season. Until then, fans will be able to enjoy this spin-off anime.

Directing is Yoshihide Ibata who was the assistant director on Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere II, and the series composer is Midori Goto who also worked on Hozuki's Coolheadedness. Producing the anime is Production I.G.

The cast will be the same as that of Attack on Titan. Due to it being a different skew on the series’ world, interesting developments are likely in store. You can enjoy a slice of the spin-off’s feel from the already released PV.
