[E3 2015] Complete Remake of “Final Fantasy VII” Finally Announced; Game Coming First to PS4

On June 16, at Sony Computer Entertainment’s PlayStation E3 Experience 2015 Press Conference, a complete remake of Final Fantasy VII was announced. The game will be released first on the PlayStation 4.

A Final Fantasy VII Full Remake Is on the Way

Square Enix announced during E3 in Los Angeles, U.S., that it is developing for the PS4 a full remake of Final Fantasy VII.

Final Fantasy VII, released for the PlayStation in 1997, has captivated many gamers with its grand, moving story, fascinating characters, and graphics that made ample use of the latest technology at the time. To date, over 11 million copies * of the game have been sold worldwide.

Since the release of the original game, countless related games, videos, and merchandise have been created which make use of the game’s unique characters, and even now the game is widely supported by many players all over the world.

Now, after all this time, a full remake of Final Fantasy VII is being created by the main staff behind the original game.
