An exhibit for the Sword Art Online series titled “Sword Art Online Exhibition: The Seed” has been confirmed. It will be held from Aug. 13–16 at the Sunshine City Convention Center in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, and from Sept. 19–21 at the Kobe Sambo Hall in Kobe.

A highlight of “Sword Art Online Exhibition: The Seed” will be 1/1 scale figures of the series’ main characters, Kirito and Asuna. They will likely be a main draw of the exhibit for how these two heroes of the gaming world will be expressed. Also at the exhibit will be the Hecate II rifle used by Sinon in the Phantom Bullet arc and the item Excalibur which appears in the Calibur arc. The quality of these weapons from the series is also a point of interest. In addition, there will also be displays of famous scenes from the series and more. In the merchandise area, various goods will be offered including commemorative products produced just for the event.

Advance ticket sales began on June 13. General sales will begin on July 11. The limited item included with advance tickets is an event visual tapestry (from three versions) that differs depending on where the tickets are purchased from. The tapestries show Kirito and Asuna, and each is themed after the world of a different game in the series: version A is themed after Sword Art Online, version B Alfheim Online, and version C Gun Gale Online. Advance tickets cost 1,500 yen, advance tickets with a bonus tapestry cost 3,500 yen, and tickets at the door cost 1,800 yen or 3,800 yen with a bonus tapestry (all prices include tax). For more details including where to buy tickets, please see the official site.
