
The TV anime Mikagura School Suite, currently broadcasting since April, has opened a user submission contest called “Mikagura Academy Support Club.” The contest is for video submissions that use the opening theme song, “Houkago Kakumei.” In celebration of this, an Odottemita (Tried to Dance) video of the girl rock band Q’ulle has been released. They are bringing excitement to the series together with fans.
Users can upload to the contest Odottemita and Utattemita (Tried to Sing) videos that use the opening theme song, “Houkago Kakumei.” Several versions of music data are available on the official site that can be included in the video depending on how they are used. An *Odottemita video of Q’ulle appearing at a fan event is also available on a special page on the site. User-submitted videos will also be introduced there from hereon, and what kind of works will be collected will definitely be a must see.
Additionally, a special program titled Bunka (Ba)ttle! is also available on the official site for a limited time. In the program, the cast battles using different themes related to Mikagura Academy where only culture clubs exist. Leading the cast is Yoshitsugu Matsuoka who plays Bimii. The six total cast members including Juri Kimura, Saori Onishi, Ayaka Suwa, Nobunaga Shimazaki, and Natsuki Hanae then battle the Flower Arrangement Club, English Club, and others in unique competitions. Parts 1 and 2 are available for a limited time until May 16 and 23, respectively. The show will also be included as a bonus on the Perfect Edition Blu-ray and DVD which includes a making-of video and more.
In other news, a collaboration campaign with Karaoke Joysound called “Where Are the Clubs Controlled by Mikagura School Suite x Joysound Karaoke?!” is on now until May 30. With a separate collaboration with Ikebukuro’s Animate Cafe also ongoing until May 31, there are a variety of projects going on all at once.
