Rumiko Takahashi’s newest serialized work, Rin-ne, began broadcasting in April. In celebration, Animate will be releasing Rumic Collection character goods. Rumic Collection is a series that brings together popular characters by the long-time popular Takahashi. They are indispensable items for fans.
Countless popular characters have been introduced into Rumic Collection, beginning with those from Takahashi’s classic masterpieces Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku. Illustrator and graphic designer Stereo Tennis is in charge of the series’ logo design. The nostalgia-inducing design brings out even more the charms of the goods.
The lineup includes three types of items: cute rubber straps with deformed characters, character badges that use key frames drawn by Takahashi, and clear files with impressive pastel-colored artwork.
The rubber straps come in eight versions. Main characters are of course included, like Lum from Urusei Yatsura, and who the secret characters are is a point of interest too. Each pack costs 450 yen and each box 3,600 yen (both prices exclude tax).
The character badges include not just main characters, but also sub-characters like Kotatsu-neko from Urusei Yatsura. This can likely be said to be a point that fans will be happy about. These cost 250 yen per pack and 2,000 yen per box (both prices exclude tax).
The clear files come in four versions: Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2, and InuYasha. These impressive items feature large character illustrations. They cost 350 yen (plus tax). All the products introduced above will be released in or around July.
