Ten cast members have been announced for the much talked about anime adaptation of Joukamachi no Dandelion. As was announced in April, the series will air from July 2015 on TBS and other channels. Following on from that, we now have the info fans have been longing to find out.
The cast announced so far includes 10 names mainly from the central Sakurada family: Akane Sakurada will be played by Kana Hanazawa, Aoi Sakurada by Ai Kayano, Shu Sakurada by Ryouhei Kimura, Kanade Sakurada by Kaori Ishihara, Haruka Sakurada by Ayumu Murase, Misaki Sakurada by Eriko Mitsui, Hikari Sakurada by Yui Ogura, Teru Sakurada by Shiori Katsuta, and Shiori Sakurada by Aina Suzuki. Also, Yuka Aisaka will play the role of Hana Sato.
Joukamachi no Dandelion is a manga series by Ayumu Kasuga published in Manga Time Kirara Miracle (Houbunsha) of which two collected tankobon volumes have been released so far. Kasuga handled illustrations for the Gonna be the Twin-Tail!! light novel which was also adapted into an anime. When it was announced that Joukamachi no Dandelion would become a TV anime in November 2014 it instantly became a hot topic.
Noriaki Akitaya who previously worked on the Bakuman TV anime series will direct. Reiko Yoshida ( Girls und Panzer, Non Non Biyori ) will handle series composition and Shinpei Kobayashi, animation director on Inari Konkon, Koi Iroha and The Testament of Sister New Devil, will be responsible for character designs. The animation will be produced by Gonna be the Twin-Tail!! animation studio Production IMS.
In addition, Joukamachi no Dandelion will be participating in the “Manga Time Kirara Festa! 2015” to be held on Sunday, June 28, 2015. Kana Hanazawa, Kaori Ishihara and Eriko Mitsui will each be appearing at the event to be held at Tokyo Dome City Hall. This event prior to the broadcast is sure to raise expectations even more.
