‘Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda’ Hits Theaters on Sept. 19! Limited Sales of Advance Tickets at AnimeJapan

The release date has been set for Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda, a new film by the staff behind Toradora! and Anohana: The Flower We Saw. The film will have a countrywide roadshow release on Sept. 19. Along with this, details on a promotion to take place during the event AnimeJapan 2015 to be held at Tokyo Big Sight on March 21 and 22 have also been announced.

Advance tickets to the film that come with an event-exclusive bonus will be on sale during AnimeJapan 2015 at the Aniplex booth. The bonus, an original, exclusive poster, exudes a feeling of the seasons and shows the main character holding a sakura branch. Because this poster won’t be sold in theaters, it is likely to become an essential collectors item for fans. The price of advance tickets is 1,500 yen.

On March 21, director Tatsuyuki Nagai, writer Mari Okada, and character designer Masayoshi Tanaka will be onstage for a special stage event. The main characters and the cast will also be announced. With information on the as of yet undisclosed story, the main cast taking the stage, and the newest video to be shown for the first time planned, it seems the event will be very exciting.

Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda is an original animated film created by the staff of the anime Anohana: The Flower We Saw. With their previous film released in 2013 having been a huge hit that grossed over 1 billion yen in box office revenue, expectations are building for this new film too. The story hasn’t yet been revealed, but it appears it will be an adolescent drama set in Chichibu, just like Anohana. The animation is being produced by A-1 Pictures.
