The OVA Haiyore! Nyaruko-san F will be screened in select theaters starting May 30, 2015. Visuals for Nyaruko in a wedding dress were also unveiled!
An OVA for the 2013 anime Haiyore! Nyaruko-san called Haiyore! Nyaruko-san F will be released on Wednesday, June 19, 2015. Before its regular release, the OVA will have screenings starting May 30, 2015 in select theaters such as Shinjuku Wald 9. A special theater limited edition of the Blu-ray for Haiyore! Nyaruko-san will also be available for purchase at these theaters.
The anime’s source material is the light novel Haiyore! Nyaruko-san by Manta Aisora, and is sold under the label GA Bunko. Currently at 12 volumes, it was first adapted into an anime in 2012.
Due to the anime’s immediate success, a second season, Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W, aired in 2013, and will be followed by the OVA. Though centered around a love comedy, the main story is based on the legend of Cthulhu and combines a variety of components from other genres.
Though screenings have been confirmed for the OVA Haiyore! Nyaruko-san F, the actual contents of the story have not yet been revealed. In the unveiled visuals, Nyaruko can be seen in a wedding dress with evidence of the progression of her relationship with main character, Mahiro.
The opening theme is titled “Haiyore Once Nyagain” by Ushirokara Haiyori Tai G, and the ending theme is titled “Kitto Engage” to be sung by RAMM featuring Haiyoru Nyaruko-san. The first season’s opening song popularized the phrase “Uu! Nyaa!”, a repetitive line sung in the song. Fans will notice in the new opening a similar line that now says “Uu! Nyaa! Once Nyagain!!”
Furthermore, the release date for Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W Blu-ray box has been determined to be May 22, 2015 (Wed.). Bonus footage in the Blu-ray box such as the full recorded anime event held on August 2013 will be included. It looks like fans will have much to look forward to between now and the approaching theatrical screening!
