On Jan. 27, an official smartphone app launched for the TV anime Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons, which entered its second season broadcast in October 2014. In addition to the newest information on the series, the app also has plenty of video content. What’s more, all content on the app is free. With excitement building for the TV anime, it’s safe to say this is a must-have app for fans.
The video content includes the latest episodes available for free. The newest episodes are available for free for one week beginning every Thursday at 12:00. Though there are various platforms on which the newest episodes are available, a selling point of the official app is that fans can check out the latest information on the series along with the anime.
Another highlight of the app is the exclusive videos. These videos can only be seen on the app. At the time of the app’s launch on Jan. 27, a video showing footage from the event “Christmas Fan Meeting” held on Dec. 24, 2014 was made available. At the “Christmas Fan Meeting” discussion unfolded between the series’ creative producer Mitsuo Fukuda, project producer Naotake Furusato, and special guests. A highlight was the behind-the-scenes production stories told by the articulate producers. The TV broadcast versions of Episodes 1-3 that were screened at the event are also available for free on the app. These will be available until Feb. 15.
The news section of the app includes the latest news on the anime, event reports, merchandise info, and even related videos, giving fans the ability to leisurely delve into the series at any time.
