Normally serialized in publications such as Shogakukan’s manga magazines and magazines designed for school study based on school year, the most recent work from the Pocket Monsters Special series is the first to serialize on a webcomic site. The comic’s story is based off of the latest game, Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, and is the 13th chapter in the series.

The story is updated on the first Tuesday of each month, and the next installment will be added Tuesday, Feb. 3.

A More Epic Story Than What is in the Game

Currently, Hidenori Kusaka is in charge of the script for Pocket Monsters Special, while Satoshi Yamamoto, who also illustrates the Pokémon game series, is in charge of drawing the webcomic. Chapters for the webcomic will be based on and serialized along with new work released for The First Chapter: Red, Green, and Blue in the Pokemon Adventures manga.

In the work, there are unexpected relations between characters and even cruel descriptions. This magnificent story that cannot be seen in the game has gripped the hearts of fans and is held in high regard.

Also, all the chapters have the same view of the world, so grown-up heroes and historical characters fight together. Scenes such as these are fascinating to fans.

To celebrate the start of the new series, on Sunday, Jan. 11, Hidenori Kusaka and Satoshi Yamamoto will sign autographs at the Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo, located on the second floor of the Tokyo Ikebukuro Sunshine City Alpa.

In addition, on this day, visitors will receive a postcard featuring the new series, and people who purchase goods will receive an A4-size clear file decorated with comic cover art as a present.
