The first large-scale art exhibit has been confirmed for manga artist Kosuke Fujishima, who is well known for Oh My Goddess!, You’re Under Arrest, and other popular series. In celebration of the release of Volume 1 of Paradise Residence, “Kosuke Fujishima Art Works” will be coming to Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.
Fujishima’s newest work, Paradise Residence, is currently serializing in Afternoon (Kodansha). The large-scale art exhibit will be held to celebrate the first volume of the manga releasing on Feb. 23, 2015.
On display at the exhibit will be a great number of rare art works and animation materials from both his newest work and popular works throughout his career. It will be a chance to fully enjoy illustrations by Fujishima, whose dainty characters and exquisite mechanical depictions
continue to attract fans. Sales of products celebrating the event and reproduction art works are also planned. This exhibit that can even be called a compilation of Fujishima’s work will likely be bustling with visitors.
The event will first be held from Feb. 24 to March 1, 2015 at Tokyo Solamachi R 5F Space 634. It will then move to Daimaru Umeda-ten on the 15th floor of the Daimaru Museum in Umeda from March 11-16, and then it’s onward to the Nagoya Maruei 8F Large Event Hall from March 19-24. Tickets for each event will go on sale for advance purchase on Dec. 23. Pricing is 3,000 yen for advance tickets that include limited goods and 1,000 yen for general tickets (Both prices include tax.). Details on these limited goods will be announced on the official site in the coming days. Tickets will be sold at Animate, Gamers, and Ticket Pia locations.
Kosuke Fujishima made his debut has a manga artist in 1986. He’s a hitmaker who has brought to the world many popular series beginning with Oh My Goddess!, which has been running for a quarter of a century. He is active in both the game and anime worlds, having worked as original character designer on the Sakura Wars series Tales of series.
