The original TV anime Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru, which is being worked on by a group of hitmakers, will begin broadcasting this October. The anime will broadcast during MBS’s popular anime programming block, Animeism.
The story takes place in year 300 of the era of the gods. Second-year middle school student Yūna Yūki lives an ordinary life and belongs to the Hero Club of her school. The story follows her club activities which include dealing with a mysterious being called a “Vertex.”
A key point to notice about the anime is the staff. Takahiro, a representative of Minatosoft and the original planner of the anime, has worked on the huge hit game Nee, Chanto Shiyou Yo! as well as the hugely popular manga Akame ga Kill!, an anime to which is currently broadcasting. Directing the anime is Seiji Kishi of Angel Beats! and Danganronpa: The Animation fame, the series composer is Makoto Uezu whose works include Akame ga Kill! and Arpeggio of Blue Steel - Ars Nova, and the character designer is hitmaker Bunbun. Producing the animation is Studio Gokumi, which is reputed for its cute female characters in such series as Saki. Fans have plenty to look forward to.
There is much that is still unknown about the anime, but forthcoming information will be released on the official site. On Aug. 15, it was announced that Yumi Uchiyama will be playing main character Fū Inubōzaki and Tomoyo Kurosawa will be playing Itsuki Inubōzaki. Spot PVs for these characters have also been released.
Also, in addition to the anime, another work to look out for is Washio Sumi wa Yūsha de Aru which began in Issue 9 of Dengeki G’s Magazine. This is an illustrated novel and is the third part to the Takahiro IV Project. This story that takes place the day before the events of Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru. It is penned by Takahiro and illustrated by Bunbun. For a limited time, Chapters 1-3 can be read on the official site for Washio Sumi wa Yūsha de Aru. It seems fans will be able to enjoy it along with the anime Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru.
