Sushi Ninja, which was introduced recently in Los Angeles, U.S. at the event Anime Expo 2014, a big event themed around Japanese anime and manga, is currently trending.
Sushi Ninja is a CG anime project that combines two Japanese staples: sushi and ninjas. Several characters were introduced at AX including the passionate and optimistic Ikura, the cool yet narcissistic Maguro, and the gentle glutton Tamago.
Their goal is to re-establish the Sushi Ninja Empire that once existed in the Far East. In order to do this, however, they need the “seasoning of happiness” that lies in wait somewhere in the world. It seems their adventure to find the “seasoning of happiness” will be depicted.
A special site for Sushi Ninja is open now on the Japanese anime distribution site Daisuke, which is developing the project. There, fans can watch the 5-minute high quality CG short anime by Sprite Animation Studios that serves as Episode 1.
The cast is filled with some of Japan’s most popular seiyū including Yūki Kaji who plays Erin in Attack on Titan. Hironobu Kageyama, who is also known as an anison singer, is in charge of vocals on the theme song, “Go! Go! Sushi Ninja.” It’s clear that a lot of effort is going into this project.
There is a likelihood that TOM will also begin selling Sushi Ninja goods on the TOM Premium Shop very soon. Why not be one of the first to check them out?
