Monster Hunter 4G Trailer Shows Popular Monsters Returning, Plus New Subspecies

The latest promotional video for Capcom's Monster Hunter 4G (MH4G), which goes on sale in fall 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS, has been released. This latest release will mark the 10th anniversary of the Monster Hunter series. As was previously announced, that save data from Monster Hunter 4 will also be compatible with the new game.

The latest trailer for the game shows many new monsters in the same desert-like environments that we got a glimpse of in the initial production announcement trailer.

As far as we could determine, Dos Galeos, Daimyo Hermitaur, Diablos, and Monoblos are among the monsters from the previous release that appear in the trailer. Furthermore, there appear to be subspecies of Garara Ajara, Tetsukabura, Zaboazagiru, and Generu Serutasu, among other new monsters as well. What do these new MH4G monsters have in store? We can't wait to find out. Also, at the end if the video a mysterious monster appears and attacks a Rioreia, so be sure and watch it all the way through.

I was personally intrigued by the scene in which a Great Swordsman, launched by a Hammer-wielding player, slices a Khezu a couple of times in the air before landing on its back. At the “Monster Hunter 10 Year Anniversary Party” event recently held, after showing the trailer, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto mentioned that they have incorporated some different jump attacks. This means that this scene could be showing some brand new actions for MH4G. In order to find out for sure, we’ll have to wait for the next official announcement.
