The first part of the Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet OVA sequel, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet: Meguru Kouro, Haruka, will be screened this fall. The series is an original sci-fi action adventure set on a fleet of ships. The TV series was broadcast during the spring 2013 season and picked up popularity. The OVA was created because of this popularity. To commemorate this decision and the event screenings to take place this fall, a promotional video contest began on April 18.
For the PV contest, a large amount of raw material, bigger than anything before, is being offered. Applicants will use this material and create an original PV. The songs available include the Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet theme song “The World Has Been Waiting for Us” sung by Minori Chihara as well as three background songs. Also prepared are 1,200 cuts from the anime. This is enough to fill three episodes. As per the rules, when making a PV applicants can also use scenes that are played in reverse or inverted, as well as their own anime or filming. Applicants are allowed to be original with their PV. The application period will run until July 11, but the materials can only be downloaded until May 16, so if you are going to apply, you should download all the materials first. The results will be announced on July 27 during Summer Wonder Festival 2014.
The OVA sequel Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet: Meguru Kouro, Haruka is set six months after the parting with Chamber. Join the PV content and continue the story of Ledo and the Gargantia fleet.
