20-Year Serialization Congratulatory Exhibit “Conan Exhibit” to Open in the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse

This year, Gosho Aoyama’s popular manga Detective Conan is welcoming its 20th year since it began serialization. Many commemorative projects are popping up one after the next, but one that cannot be missed is happening during Golden Week at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. For 17 days from April 24 to May 10, an exhibit called Conan Exhibit will be held in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Building 1. The exhibit will have hands-on attractions and will follow the 20-year history of the series. It’s an event that kids and adults will be able to enjoy.

Attendees will make their way through the entrance, pick from a selection of four detective notebooks the one they like best, and challenge themselves with solving the mystery. The versions of the notebooks are Conan Edogawa, Shinichi Kudo, Kaito Kid, and Heiji Hattori. Each of the characters will have different mystery-solving processes and hints to share.

The exhibit will be divided into eight unique areas. In the “There’s Trouble Afoot! Mouri Detective Agency” area is an elaborate recreation of the Mouri Detective Agency. In the “Conan the Memory” area is an exhibit of original drawings created to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary and many reproduction drawings of famous scenes. There is also a “touch & try” hands-on exhibit, a panel exhibit, and life-size figures of Conan and Shinichi. In the 20-Year Serialization Congratulatory Message Exhibit are congratulatory illustrations and messages from authors of serialized works in Shonen Sunday (Shogakukan), anime voice actors, and others. Fans will also be happy to know that there will be a selling area with goods and products limited to the exhibit.

Admission is 1,500 yen at the door for general tickets and 900 yen for children age 3 to middle school students. Advance tickets are 1,300 yen and 700 yen, respectively.
