On a particular day in April, the internationally popular Alodia stopped by the Tokyo Otaku Mode offices to collaborate with some Japanese Special Creators! These creators were none other than illustrators bounosatoshi and fuzichoco. These two talented illustrators, who are always providing excellent work for TOM’s gallery page, have taken on the task of turning Alodia into an illustration! We sneaked a peek during their brainstorming and development session!
Special Creators Involved:
Cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao
Illustrator bounosatoshi
Illustrator fuzichoco
Alodia has drawn attention from all over the world as a popular cosplayer. She currently has over 4 million likes on her Facebook page. Having already introduced themselves, bouno and fuzichoco show Alodia some of their work. Bouno creates masterful white-themed works, and fuzichoco specializes in creating vivid and colorful arrangements.
After looking over the two illustrators’ works, Alodia quietly pulls out her iPad. Apparently she’s not just a cosplayer, but something of an amateur illustrator herself. Even the Special Creators are surprised at the high quality of her work!
But this pair of Japanese Special Creators will not be outdone! They were friendly at first, but once you get a pen in their hands the creative juices start flowing and…before you know it, a piece of white paper transforms into an illustration right before your eyes!
“I want to put butterfly wings on a dragon. I also want to emphasize cuteness over sexiness,” says Alodia, expressing her opinions about the project. The two illustrators then voice their ideas as well. Taking Alodia’s requests into account, bouno settles on “Puppet Master Alodia” and fuzichoco on “Dragonball Alodia” as their theme of choice.
“Alodia seemed like a very creative person, and she expresses that in many different ways. I was really impressed. I’ll do my best to bring out the 'cuteness' more than I usually do in my work,” bounosatoshi commented after the meeting.
Fuzichoco expressed her enthusiasm as well: “She’s so adorable. I got so inspired just by looking at her. I’ll try to bring this aspect of her out with vivid colors and draw something that’s enjoyable to look at.”
The illustrations that these Special Creators come up with will later be available for purchase on the Tokyo Otaku Mode Premium Shop. Stay tuned to find out how this collaboration turns out!
