It has already been announced that Kyary Pamyu Pamyu will be releasing her ninth single, “Family Party,” on April 16.
The song is the theme song to the 22nd movie in the Crayon Shin-chan series, Crayon Shin-chan: Serious Battle! Robot Dad Strikes Back, making it the first time Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has been in charge of the theme song for a movie. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has previously declared that she is a huge fan of the series who owns every single volume of the comic, so this collaboration was a natural progression from her being in charge of the theme song to the TV series titled “Kimi ni 100 Percent.” Linking up with the theme of the movie, “the bonds of family,” the new song is a pop tune by sound producer Yasutaka Nakata that is in some respects sentimental and warm.
Also released is artwork that shows Kyary Pamyu Pamyu becoming a robot in connection with the theme of the movie. The jacket of the regular edition and first edition shows Kyary Pamyu Pamyu dressed in a robot outfit with a lovely transformation composition that overthrows the image of traditional inorganic robots. It’s a fantasy world that once again shows off Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s brand of humor.
