The fan disc The New Prince of Tennis DVD Fan Disc - Be a Rival and Friend that combines the charm and passion of the anime The New Prince of Tennis will be released on Dec. 25. This is the first fan disc to be released for The New Prince of Tennis, a sequel to the hugely popular The Prince of Tennis. It’s safe to say that fans have been long-awaiting this fan disc.
The main contents of the fan disc include profiles of the characters who appeared in the exciting Japanese U-17 High School Representatives Selection Camp in the anime, and a special report from four members of the cast on the area around Lake Biwa called “The Prince of Lake Biwa.” Fans will be happy to know that the disc also comes with a bonus collection of exclusive illustrations called “If - How to Spend Winter Days.”
“Japanese U-17 High School Representatives Selection Camp Character Profiles” features introductions of and narrations by the 52 middle school students who participated in the camp.
Among these, characters to take note of are Syusuke Fuji, Yūshi Oshitari, Bunta Marui, Eishirō Kite, Kuranosuke Shiraishi, and Hajime Mizuki. The “If - How to Spend Winter Days” collection includes three illustrations: “Warm Drinks (Shusuke Fuji),” “Playing in the Snow (Bunta Marui),” and “Scarfs (Kuranosuke Shiraishi).” Images of these illustrations have also been released ahead of time.
“The Prince of Lake Biwa” is a segment made in commemoration of the “TeniPuri Festa” coming to Kansai. “TeniPuri Festa” was held for the first time in Kansai at the Lake Biwa Hall on Sept. 15, 2013. In this segment, four members of the cast––Ryō Naitō (Koharu Konjiki), Suguru Kumabuchi (Yūji Hitōji), Yūki Masuda (Masaharu Niō), and Eisuke Tsuda (Hiroshi Yagyū)––give a side-splittingly humorous report around the area of Lake Biwa. They try out waterballs, visit Enryaku-ji on Mt. Hiei, and close out the fun by selecting a real prince of Lake Biwa! Just who will shine as the prince of Lake Biwa? This is a must-see for fans.
The DVD is 60 minutes in length and costs ￥3,150 yen including tax. Because it is being released on Christmas, why not get is as a present to yourself?
