It has become known that the first completely original new work in 24 years by Kentaro Miura, the author of Berserk, will appear in Young Animal for six consecutive issues beginning with Issue 23 to be released on Nov. 22.
The title of this new work is Gigantomakhia. The work is a sci-fi story totalling 202 pages set 100 million years in the future.
Kentaro Miura debuted in 1988 while a college student with the short manga Berserk. The work was a prototype for the currently known series of the same name, which began serialization in 1989. Thereafter, he continued the series while working on a project based on an original work by Buronson. Berserk has continued to this day.
