Among the anime movies released in theaters, huge attention has recently been placed on bonus goods given to those who see the movie. Original items related to the work, each elaborately made, are currently popular with fans. Now, it has been revealed that extraordinary bonus items will be distributed to those who see the movie Persona 3 releasing in theaters throughout Japan on Nov. 23. Minoru Yonezawa and Satoshi Hyodo, the creators of Bikkuriman, have drawn exclusively for this occasion stickers named “Super P3 Stickers.”
The stickers come in 29 different styles in total. Characters like Makoto, Yukari, Junpei, and the Personas appear on the stickers in familiar designs. The atmosphere and personality of each character has been left intact and magnificently morphed into a deformed style.
Authors Yonezawa and Hyodo both belong to Green House. They created the “Bikkuriman Stickers” that were included as extras in a chocolate candy series sold by Lotte from the ‘80s until the early ‘90s. These “Bikkuriman Stickers” caused a huge boom and have been developed into several other forms including anime.
This sticker present for Persona 3 will change every week. During the first week, viewers will receive three stickers from a possible 10 kinds; during the second week, they will receive three stickers from a separate 10 kinds; and during the third week, they will receive three stickers from yet another nine different kinds. Fans can enjoy the excitement of not knowing which characters they will receive and what the designs will look like. These are no-brainer rare collector’s items.
The movie Persona 3 is a new anime series based on the popular PlayStation 2 game of the same name. Persona 3 the Movie #1: Spring of Birth releasing on Nov. 23 is the first chapter of the series, which will span four chapters in total. With Seiji Kishi appointed as the supervisor, great things are expected. There are three weeks left until the release of Spring of Birth.

>When I was first requested for this work by Aniplex, I honestly didn’t know anything about the Persona game series. But, I knew it was an evolution of the previous series Megami Tensei, so I guess I did know about it...and I had a burning love for it the moment I saw it. However, it wasn’t easy turning the actual characters into deformed versions. The body proportions of the characters are mainly eight head lengths, so I had to make them deformed on top of making them sticker sized. Furthermore, the summoned “Personas” have many detailed traits, and making use of these while deforming them increased the difficulty even more. Hyodo and I struggled day in and day out. I was also overwhelmed with we didn’t get the OK from Index, the original creators (haha). So when we received the OK, I had an overwhelming satisfaction like that of beating a formidable boss.
