Mangapolo is a YouTube channel that distributes various videos related to manga. Like the world traveler Marco Polo, they explore various Japanese manga and distribute videos of them to their large worldwide fanbase.
This time, we’d like to introduce a new manga added to their lineup: Attack on Titan.
This is the grand story of a world encapsulated within 50-meter-tall walls. Outside of these walls roam mysterious, gigantic creatures called Titans: the biggest threat to humanity due to their insatiable appetite for humans. In order to protect themselves from this menace, humanity lives their lives peacefully inside giant walls.
In more than 100 years, there has never been a case of a Titan breaching the walls. Everyone thought they would be safe from the Titans forever as long as they stayed within the walls. Enter Eren Yeager: a 10-year-old boy who longs to see the outside world and wants to join the Recon Corps for that very reason. To him, living inside the walls equates to living like a caged animal.
Worried about Eren’s safety, his mother and childhood friend, Mikasa Ackerman, are against it, but his father expresses an understanding of his desire, promising to show him what he has kept hidden from Eren in the basement as soon as he returns from a business trip.
Afterward, Eren and Mikasa leave the house and rescue their friend Armin Arlert who is being bullied. The three then go into town to talk for awhile. Just then, the ground shakes and a thunderous roar rings out… Thus begins the heroic journey of Eren and his friends as they fight to change their destinies and protect the ones they care about.
