On July 5, Dentsu introduced a new type of T-shirt dubbed “Asoberu-T.” When a smartphone is swiped over each T-shirt, images of characters and contents appear on the screen of the phone. The images can be shared and enjoyed with others.
With the download of the specified app, each user can have fun with the interactive contents, which appear with the technology of augmented reality (AR).
As part of the first series, three types of T-shirts using the popular manga/anime Gintama as their motif, and two types designed by up-and-coming design group “The Wonderful! Design Works” are in stores. The T-shirts can be purchased at select Beams stores.
Dentsu also plans to collaborate with apparel manufacturers in Japan and overseas to introduce sequel series.
