Tokyo Otaku Mode recently arrived back in Japan from having spent four unforgettable days at Anime Expo 2013 in Los Angeles, California, U.S.! Now, we’d like to highlight a few special moments of the event.
This was the first year TOM had a booth at Anime Expo (AX)! We really enjoyed being able to meet with fans. The TOM booth was decked out in TOM Special Creator goods including art prints, tote bags, and smartphone cases, as well as exclusive TOM goods such as our first art book Tokyo Otaku Mode Creation File Vol. 1! Thank you to everyone who stopped by!
The talent at AX 2013 was astonishing. The Artist Alley was packed from opening to closing with fans meeting their favorite artists who they had only known from the Internet. Fabulous cosplayers were also seen coming back and forth from meetups, shopping in the Exhibitor Hall which boasted over 200 vendors, and making their way to compete in the Masquerade.
Danny Choo, the creator of Mirai Suenaga, also had his first product booth on display. It was a huge success! Danny visited the booth during his busy AX schedule to say hello to fans, pose for photos, and meet up with beautiful cosplayers dressed as Mirai!
Lastly, we’d like to say congratulations to AX for shattering a previous record of theirs once again by achieving over 60,000 unique visitors this year! If we didn’t get the chance to meet you this year, we hope to see you at Anime Expo 2014!
