Meltdowner and AIM Stalker––Mikoto is chased by this powerful duo from ITEM. Mugino, who is chasing after her, realizes that the person she is fighting against is Academy City’s third ranked esper: Railgun. She then decides to face Mikoto head on. Mikoto, who has used too many of her abilities and can no longer display her true power, faces off against Mugino using the stuffed animals with bombs implanted in them that Frenda left behind. However, in a display of the fighting style of her shadowy organization, Mugino uses a “trump card” move to cover her weakness and crush Mikoto’s plan. Somehow, Mikoto is able to make it through this dire situation and succeed in destroying the facility, but Mugino continues her relentless pursuit.

The person from the shadowy organization ITEM who Mikoto squares off against ends up being the fourth ranked esper in Academy City named Mugino, who is one rank lower than Mikoto. Mikoto, who is already worn out from the previous battles, is pursued by Mugino. However, Mikoto uses the traps set by Frenda to her advantage to catch Mugino off guard. Unphased, Mugino pulls out a trump card move to swiftly and effortlessly crush Mikoto’s plan. In the end, Mikoto is able to win out and she then leaves the scene to finish destroying the facility.
Afterward, Mikoto is able to get away from Mugino, who continues her relentless pursuit. Being at the limits of her power, she gets a good night’s sleep at a nearby hotel.
