Kz in Charge of OP for Gainax-Produced Anime “Stella Women's Academy, High School Division Class C3”

It was previously announced that Preferential Measure Organization Stella Women's Academy, High School Division Class C3, a manga enjoying a popular serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine, is becoming an anime. Newly announced is that the anime, titled Stella Women's Academy, High School Division Class C3, will begin broadcasting on July 4 on TBS and will broadcast thereafter on CBC, SUN, BS-TBS, and other stations.

The original manga is a popular work authored by Ikoma and illustrated by Midori Tomomoka. The manga began serialization in May 2012. To match up with the anime, the second volume of the manga is planned to be published.

The series follows main character Yamato Yura, who enters the prestigious Stella Women’s Academy. Her new high school life makes her heart jump out of her chest and she thinks, “Maybe here...I can change!” She then enters the C3 club. It is here that an adolescent survival game story unfolds.

While the anime is making full use of the original manga’s world and abundantly unique characters, many new additions will also be included. It will be curious to see what kind of story the anime will end up having.

The anime is being produced by Gainax, which is responsible for creating many hit works. Masayoshi Kawajiri is the director and Manami Umeshita is the character designer. Aside from the staff, the main cast has also been announced. Yui Makino will be playing the main character Yamato Yura. Other cast members include Miyuki Sawashiro as Kashima Sonora, Ai Kayano as Hatsuse Karira, Chiwa Saito as Honoka Mutsu, Rima Nishizaki as Kirishima Ren, and Madoka Yonezawa as Hinata Yachiyo.

Furthermore, the opening and ending themes have also been revealed. The opening theme is “Shape My Story” by Anna Yano, and the ending theme is “Hajikero! Shikyubu!” by the main cast of characters who make up the C3 club. Both songs will be released on Aug. 7 for 1,250 yen (tax included). Worth taking note of is that Kz is in charge of the opening theme’s lyrics, composition, and arrangement. Kz is a popular artist whose music includes the songs “Tell Your World” (Hatsune Miku), “Transfer” (Megumi Nakajima), and “Take Your Way” (Sekai no Owari). His animated music videos are even highly talked about. Look forward to more information on this soon.
