“Teekyu” Second Season Broadcast Details and PV Released!

A second season of the short anime Teekyu from last year’s fall anime season is planned, and promotional videos for the second season have begun to be launched via the Nico Nico Douga Teekyu channel. Fans can enjoy the usual rapid dialogue of the broadcast at the same times and station as the first season. On July 7, the second season of Teekyu will begin broadcasting on Tokyo MX and thereafter every Sunday from 10:27 p.m. for 2 minutes. Successive broadcasts and distribution of the anime will also begin on AT-X and Nico Nico Douga.

Teekyu is a comedic anime about four far out of the ordinary girls who are members of the Kameido High School Tennis Club. In the second season, they open a nursery school, play ping-pong, and become even more estranged from tennis. The anime will inevitably also feature explosive new special moves and unique new characters that you can’t read about.

The original work, a manga with the same name, is written by Roots and illustrated by Piyo. The fourth volume released on June 12. Roots is a manga artist who got his break with the published work Surumeika which was also turned into an anime. Shin Itagaki is playing a very active role in the anime, being the director, scriptwriter, producer, storyboard artist, character designer, and music director. The studio behind the anime is Mappa, which also produced Kids on the Slope.

Narumi Kyoko, the voice star of the wealthy character Takamiya Nasuno, will be in charge of the narration.
