Another anime adaption will be made of a work from the online magazine Gangan Online distributed by Square Enix. An anime adaption of Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku is planned to begin airing this July. The staff of the anime have also been revealed.
The popular, original manga gained favor as a non-serialized work in Comics Anthology Kiwami Kitakubu and then began serialization in July 2011. It is about five girls who group together to have fun passing time after school. The second volume of the popular work is currently on sale, and the third volume will release on June 22.
Andou Natsuki is about to become a high school student, and her friends ask her what club she is going to join. Natsuki replies, as hierarchical relationships are troublesome to her, “The Go-Home Club would be nice...” However, such a club just happens to exist at her high school.
The Go-Home Club’s unique members include a successor of an ancient Japanese martial arts school and a rich heiress, as well as a quite ordinary club president named Domyouji Sakura. The club’s main activities only involve having fun. Natsuki joins the members, who group together for the sake of having the most fun possible after school and when returning home. Thus begins a series of lively days one after another.
Hikaru Sato, a man with extraordinary ability and who is known for working on various much-discussed anime such as Bakuman, is directing the anime. Takahiro Sasaki is in charge of the character designs, and Go Zappa is in charge of the series composition and script.
Also, the opening theme will be performed by the idol group Otome Shinto, which formed in December of 2012. Fans are looking forward to what kind of tune the members, who mostly consist of middle school students, will sing. From now on, be sure to check back for the latest news!
Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku is one more work to enliven your summer anime schedule when it begins broadcasting this July! Don’t miss it!
