Star Wars: The Clone Wars and several staff of Transformers: Prime have been nominated for the 40th Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. The Emmy Awards are sponsored by the American Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and are awarded to various American daytime television programming.
In total, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and staff of the work are nominated for seven awards and staff from Transformers: Prime are nominated for three. At the 39th Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, Transformers: Prime won in the Outstanding Special Class Animated Program division. Being nominated two years in a row is a wonderful acknowledgement of the series. The 40th Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards will be held on June 14 and 16.
Transformers: Prime is a popular CG anime. The series first broadcast in America and then expanded to other countries throughout the world. In Japan, the show is known as Chou Robot Seimeitai Transformers: Prime. The background designer, character animator, and storyboard artist of Transformers: Prime are each nominated for individual awards.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which is themed after the Star Wars franchise, has regrettably come to an end. Thus, its nominations this year have gathered considerable attention.
The Japanese CG studio Polygon Pictures worked on both of these series. Polygon Pictures’ mission from here on is to “share with the world overwhelmingly high-quality work that no one is currently doing.” Another ambitious feat of theirs is to “strive to bring the animation industry that Japan is proud of to the world.”
