(from the official episode guide)
It’s plot turn after plot turn in this episode. Satan is attacked by his subordinate, Lucifer. With his magic being depleted, and because of innocent civilians in the area, Satan and the rest have no choice but to flee.
Moreover, Lucifer begins destroying the town he has held hostage so that he can feed off of the residents’ despair and fear to strengthen his magic. Just then, Satan, whose magic should have been exhausted, returns to his true form. What could possibly be the source of his power?
Satan then begins fighting cooperatively with Emilia. With all the good deeds he has piled up, Satan has more than enough qualities to be a king, but is he really suited for being the “Demon King”? If Satan did conquer the world, would it not, on the contrary, move in the direction of becoming more righteous? One can’t help ponder such questions due to Satan’s actions in this episode.
