Limited Edition Rubber Straps Included with Advance Tickets to New “Gintama” Movie

Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: Be Forever Yorozuya will be released in Japan on July 6. The movie is the second for the Gintama series, the manga to which is currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. Advance tickets to the movie went on sale on April 15. Those who purchase an advance ticket at Loppi machines in the convenience stores Lawson or Mini Stop will receive a “Gintama jelly roll rubber strap” as a free gift. The strap, which is only being given out in limited quantities, features a cute, deformed version of the main character Sakata Gintoki eating a jelly roll.

This rubber strap will be available until July 5 and will begin being sold regularly on July 15. Two sets of tickets are being sold: one intended for high school students and adults and one intended for children 3 years old to middle school-age. Each set comes with one general advance ticket and one strap.

Gintama is one of Jump’s powerhouse manga. To date, more than 44 million copies of the manga are in print. This new movie comes three years after the first movie in the series and is said to be the conclusion of the anime for Gintama. Series creator Hideaki Sorachi wrote an entirely new story for the movie. Even though it focuses on the original work, it will be comprised of many important episodes that have not yet been depicted.
