Beginning on April 1, the smartphone-based video distribution service “dVideo Powered by BeeTV” (dVideo), offered by NTT Docomo, which is managed by Avex Broadcasting & Communications, began distributing eight movies from the Crayon Shin-chan series that released between 1993 and 1999.
This special distribution event is in commemoration of the newest Crayon Shin-chan movie Crayon Shin-chan: Very Tasty! B-class Gourmet Survival, which was released on April 20. The event will run until June 30.
dVideo is the largest fixed ration video distribution service in Japan and distributes video content that includes domestic and foreign movies, anime, and dramas. Currently, the service has roughly 9,000 titles, and the company has more than 400 employees.
In the past, the service has distributed other national anime series including Chibi Maruko-chan, Doraemon, and Pokémon. With the distribution of the Crayon Shin-chan movies, the service is becoming even more complete.
