In January 2013, the staff and main cast for the TV anime adaptation of Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyo was announced. On March 21, the official site opened to the public.
The main character Harumi Kazuto will be played by Takahiro Sakurai and the main heroine Kirihime Natsuno will be played by Marina Inoue. Other popular voice stars featured in the anime include Kana Asumi, Shizuka Itou, Ai Kakuma, and Yu Serizawa.
Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyo is an eccentric mystery comedy light novel that has been published in Famitsu Bunko since 2011 and is the debut work of the writing team Sarai Shunsuke, which is composed of authors Sara and I. It is illustrated by a up-and-coming illustrator named Tetsuhiro Nabejima.
With Shunsuke’s full cooperation, the anime adaption is advancing. The Japanese anime studio Gonzo is in charge of the anime. Their past works include Gin Tama, Inu x Boku Secret Service and Last Exile. This talented team is already creating the anime world of Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyo.
