On March 20, the long-awaited mix CD “J-Anison Kamikyoku Matsuri~Legend~[DJ Kazu in No.1 Fumetsu Mix]” finally released. The CD is a non-stop mix of popular anime songs from the ’80s and ’90s.
“Fumetsu Mix” is the newest work in the J-Pop mix series created by the charismatic youngster in Japan’s DJ world, DJ Kazu. The CD features 44 anime songs from such works as Mobile Suit Gundam, Rurouni Kenshin, Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, and Slayers Next. The CD is packed with theme songs from many works that were hugely popular during the anime boom.
Noizi Ito, known for illustrating the manga The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi; Rui Araizumi, famous for illustrating the visual series Slayers; filmmaker YKBX, who has gained support in several industries; Haruhiko Mikimoto, the character designer for Macross; and Masashi Kokura, the famous character designer for Tokimeki Memorial all collaborated on the CD’s jackets. Game fans who enjoy Kokura’s illustrations of beautiful girls should definitely check out the jackets!
