Second Promotional Video for “Disgaea D2” Releases

Disgaea is a tactical RPG game series that celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. On Feb. 21, Nippon Ichi Software released the second promotional video (PV) for Disgaea D2. Narrated by the main character Laharl (CV: Kaori Mizuhashi), the PV introduces parts of the game’s system and characters. The PV also features a portion of the theme song sung by Minori Chihara, as well as the opening animation. There is a lot here to entice fans who have yet to buy the game.

Elements of the game system that are shown in the PV include “Demon Connect,” a way to check the strength of the bonds between your fellow warriors, “Congress of Darkness,” which can forcibly grant wishes, and “Item Beach,” where players can strengthen their items’ abilities. The PV also introduces new characters, such as a mysterious demon boy named Zenoris, who is Laharl’s enemy. The characters are introduced with a comical narration by Laharl.

In addition to this, the PV also introduces the theme song “Cradle Over” by Minori Chihara, who also voices Laharl’s archnemesis, Barbara. The theme song will be released on April 24 together with Chihara’s new single “This World Has Been Waiting for Us.”
