Cosplayers Fulfill Their Longing for the Stage at “ACOS photosession in Nihon-Seinenkan!” [2/2]

Many cosplayers recently gathered for the cosplay event “ACOS photosession in Nihon-Seinenkan.” At the event, many different works were being represented, but the one that drew huge excitement from attendees was The Prince of Tennis. Nihon-Seinenkan, the venue for the event, is considered a sacred place for The Prince of Tennis due to it being where the musical for the work was held. Fans in attendance were longing for their chance to recreate their favorite scenes from the musical on stage. Fans of the anime, manga, and musical were all wearing the same tennis wear and holding the same rackets. The only difference between them was that the musical fans were also wearing small headset microphones that extended from their ear to their mouth. One would expect no less dedication from otaku! Of course, those who are purely fans of the musical are also considered otaku. Once they got on stage and saw the crowd from an actor’s perspective, many of them were deeply moved.

The event was put on by the cosplay shop ACOS, and even the staff members in attendance were getting into the cosplay spirit. Their cosplay outfits included things like Seishun Academy Tennis Club’s uniform from The Prince of Tennis and their mascot character Anizawa Meito. Even though they were busy with the event, their love of cosplay was still clear to see. ACOS has plans to hold even more cosplay events in the future.
