Games and manga for series like Dragon Ball, Captain Tsubasa, Pokémon, and Naruto are now available in countries around the world for fans to purchase. However, there are still many otaku goods, such as figures, manga, original illustrations, and cosplay photo books, that are only for sale inside Japan. Surely, there are many otaku all over the world sighing in disappointment at how hard it is to obtain these items by searching the internet.
The TokyoOtakuMode team launched the Tokyo Otaku Mode Premium Shop in order to bridge the gap and deliver these items to anime, manga, and game fans all over the world. It is our goal to fully close this gap so that otaku all over the world can easily and conveniently find and purchase otaku goods straight from Japan. So far, all three products introduced in the TOM Premium Shop have sold out!
The shop’s first product was the “Crystal Character Series 00 GUMI by Mamama.” This gorgeous commemorative item features a 3D image of Megpoid’s mascot character, GUMI, etched inside a crystal block. Taking a very different turn from the first product, the second product featured was “Kazuharu Kina's Doujinshi Pack.” This special pack featured artwork from the master of drawing beautiful girls with long, black hair, Kazuharu Kina. The pack contained four original books, special pins, a clear file, a mouse pad, and an illustrated bag. However, the most noteworthy items of the pack were the illustration collection books. The shop’s third product was the “TOKYO GUERRILLA MAID: Photo Collection of Maid Cosplay” photo book. This product was filled with maid cosplay photos taken in Tokyo of the popular female cosplayer Momoiro Reku. It sold out in just under half a day.
