The super unit ClariS made their striking debut in October 2010 with the opening theme song “irony” for the TV anime Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (*Oreimo*), and are now working with Oreimo again! The second season of Oreimo will begin in April, and ClariS will be performing the opening theme “reunion.” The song is planned to release on April 17.
Prior to the release of the CD, a new illustration of the two members of ClariS has been made public. The actual appearances of the girls in this female high school unit (they originally formed in middle school) have been kept private. As such, their appearances are conveyed on their CD covers through illustrations.
To promote the song “reunion,” Hiro Kanzaki, the character designer for Oreimo, worked on the illustration of the girls. Kanzaki has worked with ClariS before, having drawn their illustration for the song “irony,” which became widely talked about (at that time he was know as Oda Hiroyuki).
Aside from Oreimo, ClariS has also performed many other theme songs for anime. The album they released last year debuted at number two on the Oricon Album Chart, which was a brilliant achievement. Their newest song is definitely worth checking out!
