“Alliance of Valiant Arms” World Championship Held in February

In recent years, the spread of internet-based online games has magnified, and in countries all over the world, tournaments for these games are taking place. One such tournament, called “Alliance of Valiant Arms International Championship 2013”, was held at Nicofarre in Roppongi, Tokyo on Feb. 23-24, 2013.

Alliance of Valiant Arms is an online first person shooter (FPS) that started in 2008. In addition to the recent spread of online games, it is said that the FPS genre is at the height of its popularity, with FPS games being popular worldwide. Due to this, Alliance of Valiant Arms became a huge hit seemingly overnight. Even after five years, the game still offers players fierce battles. The tension at the championship was think for both the valiant players and the spectators.

Elite players from Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, and Europe participated in the championship for the chance to be crowned the world’s best player as well as win US$10,000.
