An anime adaptation has been announced for the popular light novel Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyo, which is currently being published by Famitsu Bunko. This work is the debut of the writing team Sarai Shunsuke, which is composed of authors Sara and I. The main character Kazuhito dies trying to fend of a burglar and comes back to life as a Daschund. He soon comes under the ownership of a sadistic female teenage writer, Kirihime, who has a thing for scissors. An oddly comedic story ensues.
The original work received the award of excellence at the 12th Enterbrain Entertainment Awards. Other big hits to have won this award in the past include Kyoran Kazoku Nikki, Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts, and Kokoro Connect. Since Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyo is following in the footsteps of these huge hits, it’s no surprise the anime is highly anticipated.
Even before the anime has begun, a drama CD as well as a currently serialized comic of the light novel have already been produced. Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyo is currently increasing its popularity through many forms of media. Detailed information about the anime, such as the staff and cast, is still unknown.
