It has been announced that the Hatsune Miku live concert party “Mikupa♪” will be held in Wakayama at Wakayama Big Whale on March 9. The first “Mikupa♪” concert was held on March 9, 2011, so this year’s event will be the 2nd year anniversary. Moreover, the event is being held for the first time in the Kansai region, so it is sure to be huge.
“Mikupa♪” is a big event that has been held both within Japan and overseas. To date, 10 performances have been held, attracting more than 25 thousand attendees. This year’s first “Mikupa♪” was held on Feb. 9 and 10 in Sapporo. “Mikupa♪” will continue to be held at other venues for the next two months, which is big news for Miku fans.
The concert to take place in Kansai is titled “Hatsune Miku Live Party 2013 in Kansai (Mikupa♪) - 39’s Spring the 3rd Synthesis”. The performance will be a synthesis of the past, present, and future. Expect to see songs that have never been performed live before. The event is also planned to exceed three hours, the longest time of any of “Mikupa♪” event to date. Tickets for the event are 6,800 yen.
This year is sure to be another year caught in the Miku whirlwind!
